Our Teachers.

Our teachers are passionate about caring for and educating our PBELC children. Every lead teacher has earned, or is actively working toward, a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™ or a higher education degree.

Our PBELC teachers are highly qualified, dedicated professionals who are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can grow, learn, and thrive. Together, we strive to lay a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.

PBELC Curriculum:

PBELC uses the Louisiana Frog Street curriculum, a research based early childhood program de- signed to help children build strong foundations in language, math, interpersonal skills, and early literacy. Through playful, hands-on activities, consistent routines, and intentional teaching, children stay engaged while developing the skills they need for kindergarten success. The curriculum supports the whole child and creates a joyful, structured learning environment that helps every child grow with confidence.

The ELC also uses a faith-based, Christ-centered curriculum that relies on the Bible as the foundation for teaching and daily guidance. Children learn through age appropriate activities that incorporate books, music, nature, and art to help them understand core Christian principles. The curriculum is designed to nurture each child’s growing knowledge of God, Jesus, the Bible, church, self, family, others, and the world around them, creating a warm, intentional environment where faith and learning grow together.

By blending both curricula, teachers create a faith-based, academically enriched learning environment that nurtures the whole child.

Our Classrooms.

Our classrooms at PBELC are safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environments where curiosity is encouraged and every child is welcomed to explore. We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, which is why our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to provide opportunities for physical activity, language development, social interaction, self-expression, creativity, and discovery.

Our goal is to create an environment where children feel confident to explore, ask questions, try new things, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Our Facilities.

PBELC is housed in the education wing of Parkview Baptist Church in Metairie, LA. We offer nine classrooms, a reading library, a therapy room for licensed professionals to work with children, and three separate playgrounds for age-appropriate outdoor play.
